Phil Hudson – Media Relations Manager & Account Executive
Phil is a combat veteran, professional storyteller and former missionary in Southeast Asia. With bylines in “The Atlanta Journal-Constitution,” “Atlanta Business Chronicle,”“Billboard,” “Forbes,” “USA Today” and “NPR,” the second-generation-Atlanta native graduated from the University of Alabama, where he studied journalism, economics and business. At the end of his junior year, Phil enlisted in the U.S. Army and served a year-long deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He received an Honorable Discharge and returned to Alabama and served as editor of the university’s yearbook, hosting his own radio show, writing for the newspaper and managing a band. Upon graduation, Phil moved to his hometown and was nominated to The Society of American Business Editors and Writers as a finance, sports, and music reporter.
In 2015, Phil was inducted into the North Atlanta Business Post’s “40 Under 40” class for his “service among Atlanta’s African-American business community.” In 2017, Phil partnered with Atlanta Braves Radio Network to launch 680 The Fan WCNN’s first podcast, “Mind Your Business: Sports, Music & Money.” In 2018, Phil began writing at his hometown newspaper of record about the intersection of culture, art, politics and society. In his free time, Phil runs a music management and concert booking agency, serves as a district advocate of The Recording Academy (GRAMMYs) and is currently writing a book.
Minah Thomas – Assistant Account Executive
Pennsylvania-native Minah is a 2021 graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Ma. She majored in Writing, Literature and Publishing and has experience in music journalism, film development, publishing and non-profit work. Throughout her time in college, Minah wrote artist profiles and concert reviews for WERS 88.9 FM, an Emerson College radio station. She has experience interning at “Boston Common Magazine,” the guide to all things Boston, and “Boston Hassle,” a website that highlights underground and experimental music and arts with a goal to showcase underrepresented genres and artists. Through her internships, she developed a passion for editorial work, marketing and aiding in a non-profit arts collective. During her senior year at Emerson, Minah was accepted into the college’s Los Angeles semester program where she interned at Circle of Confusion, a film development, production and casting agency. She graduated in 2021, started interning at Rhythm in the fall and is now employed full-time. Minah resides in Waycross, Ga. with her family and her puppy, Piper.
