Active Seniors Festival
Driving into Older Americans Month with Good Friends, Good Health, Good Fun
With AARP Georgia, Trulieve and DAV
On Saturday, April 27, AARP Georgia, Trulieve and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) partnered to host the first-ever Active Seniors Festival at the Atlanta Motor Speedway!
More than 600 individuals registered for the free event and experienced a NASCAR racing experience, health and wellness lessons, interactive games, and more.
Rhythm conceptualized the Active Seniors Festival, a dynamic gathering marking a pivotal moment of community, wellness, and recognition, ahead of a month dedicated to enriching the lives of older Americans.
Rhythm coordinated with the presenting sponsors, vendors, venue personnel, event planning, created marketing materials (digital and printed), event rentals and more on-site activation. The agency also handled media relations along with photo and video coverage for the event.
Attendees had the unique opportunity to participate in a NASCAR racing experience to embrace the thrill of the Atlanta Motor Speedway. The free event featured a variety of health and wellness lessons, interactive games, and interactions with vendors.
- A chair-based exercise lesson was led by fitness instructor DaShaun Johnson, who specializes in exercise fitness for seniors.
- Chef Daryl Shular led an interactive healthy cooking lesson.
- Physician low-THC medical cannabis education by Trulieve.
The festival kicked off Older Americans Month in May while emphasizing the importance of community, health, and well-being for seniors. It was an invitation to embrace the joys of aging, the pursuit of wellness, and the celebration of life’s achievements.
Admission and parking were free for the event. Presenting sponsors look forward to making this an annual event next year.
