Problem: Often times, students are very talented academically, as demonstrated by their standardized test scores, but their Grade Point Averages do not accurately capture their potential. Low exam grades often lead to uncertainty, lack of confidence & low self-esteem.

Solution: Develop study skills to excel at the highest levels. Learn how to organize your time to balance the demands of high school academics, athletics, extra-curricular activities & social life.

1. What tangible takeaways will be provided at the end of the course? Students will create an individualized, written step-by-step plan that can be used for different situations. Students will develop organizational skills, study skills & time management. They will understand how to prioritize & plan for deadlines.
2. How will the course work? The course is expected to last three weeks. There will be three one hour video meetings that will have specific agendas, handouts provided & homework assigned.
3. About the teacher: Dr. Tina Singh is an experienced AP Chemistry teacher who has prepared for medical school & conducted biochemistry research. She has helped many students pass the AP chemistry exam & guided students to prepare for college admissions.

Foundational Skills for College Essay Writing

Problem: Through the highly competitive college admissions process, essays are the only opportunity to tell your UNIQUE story. A well-written & compelling essay provides an applicant the opportunity to make a good impression on college admissions staff. Most students assume they can write a compelling college essay only to find out during their senior year that they are lacking the necessary skills. From our experience, essay writing skills take years to develop.

Solution: In grades 8-11, develop skills for college essay writing & do enough practice writing, so you can enter grade 12 with the right skills & confidence to write high-impact college essays. UCEazy offers long term programs, but this course will focus on foundational skills for writing college essays. Students can continue onto our long-term course. If you do not, you will still gain exposure to the kind of writing necessary for college application essays.

UCEazy Service: Realistic Assessment of Gaining Admission to Top-Ranked Colleges

Conducted by a former admissions officer at CalTech & UCLA

Problem: There are almost 3,000 four-year colleges in the U.S., and most have different criteria for evaluating applicants. Problem: Students, with parents born outside of the U.S., often make their college major decisions based upon limited information, only to discover that these majors do not accurately fit their aptitudes or long-term goals. A vast majority of students realize their true interests while they are in college, but changing a major at that stage is often quite difficult.
Parents born &/or educated outside the U.S., think about how you would advise your child on choosing careers & majors. Is this advice going to be based upon knowledge of majors offered by U.S. colleges & job market?

Solution: Choosing a career path can be a difficult process, but by investing the time & effort now to explore their best choices, students will be more focused, confident & motivated to work towards their long-term passions & goals.    2. Students will receive a Career Assessment test.
   3. The results will be based on student’s strengths & interests to discover the major & career that give them the most satisfaction & fulfillment.
   4. Based on this test, students will evaluate & identify their best-fit college major & careers.
